We Gave In

After watching our neighbors across the dock install a small window air conditioning unit, visiting our neighbors on the end of the dock that have an a/c unit, and not sleeping for the past week, we broke down today and got the cheapest/smallest a/c window unit we could find. We had to custom make some duct work to get it to flow through a hatch window, which definitely makes us look like livaboards now.  We are still waiting for the locking mechanism for our engines and we are starting to get a little stir crazy wasting money being docked at the marina.  On the bright side we have been knocking things off our "list" left and right, this doesn't stop the "list" from getting longer though. How does that happen?  Well, we live on a boat. That's how.

  2. Hey Tara, Dan & Preston,
I just came across your blog while reading Bumfuzzle. My wife & I own hull 71 right down the street at Riverside. I had wondered who bought "Drifting Days" and now I know. Congratulations, what a sahweeet ride! I especially like the aft hardtop extension. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to make my salon table convertible like yours and need some instruction. All of the extension posts that I've seen don't drop down low enough to make the table level with the seat bottom. How or what did you do to make this work & did you have to add additional braces around the perimeter of the table? Thx for your time & welcome to the PDQ family.
